What Are Composite Team Photos?
PAYSA team photos will be created as composites. Each player will be photographed individually, and Cindy Russell Photography will use those images, along with custom templates, to create each player’s final images and the finished team photo.
This setup has two big benefits: it is easier for families, and it creates a polished, modern finished team photo. Players do not need to wait around for everyone on the team to gather for a traditional group photo. Once your player has checked in and had their photos taken, they are done!
Families will be able to choose their favorite images for their own packages and photo products. Cindy Russell Photography will select the image that works best for the final team composite so the finished team photo looks cohesive and professional.
STEP 01

Arrive 10 Minutes Early & Check In
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled team time. At check-in, each player will have a quick reference photo taken. This helps match your player’s images to the correct contact information so your family receives the right PhotoDay link when galleries are ready.
STEP 02

Player Photos
Each player will have several individual images taken. One image will be used to create the team composite photo.
STEP 03

You’re all set
Because the team photo is created as a composite, players do not need to stay for a traditional group photo. Once their photos are taken, they are done!
STEP 04

Ordering & Delivering photos
You'll receive a link via email and/or text when photos are ready to order. Once you place your order, they will be shipped directly to you. No more lost or damaged photos!

Sibling & Parent Coach/Player Photos
Sibling photos are available and are automatically included during photo day.
If you have more than one PAYSA player, they may come to either player’s scheduled session. Please check both players in when you arrive, and we’ll take individual photos as well as sibling photos together.
Parent coach/player photos are also automatically included. Coaches should check in and have their own photo taken, and we’ll also photograph parent coaches with their players.

For Shy or Nervous Players
We know photo day can feel a little overwhelming for some kids. The process will be quick, relaxed, and encouraging. We are experienced with helping players feel comfortable and confident, and we’ll do our best to make the experience positive for each child.
Parents and guardians may wait in the designated area of the gym, especially for younger players who may need a little extra reassurance. To help the photo process run smoothly, please allow the photographer and photo day staff to work directly with the players.
Cell phone photography is not permitted during the photo process. Extra cameras can be distracting for players because they may not know where to look, and we want each child to stay focused, comfortable, and looking their best.
Coaches: How You Can Help
Coaches can help photo day run smoothly by making sure players arrive in full uniform, are ready when it’s their turn, and move along once their photos are finished so the next players can focus.
Please also check in and have your own photo taken so you can be included in the team composite.
As a thank-you, all PAYSA coaches will receive a complimentary team photo.

After Photo Day
Photos are expected to be ready approximately one week after photo day. Each family will receive a unique PhotoDay link by email and/or text when images are ready. Through that link, families will be able to view multiple images of their player, choose favorites, and place orders.
Products Available After Your Session
There is absolutely no pressure to purchase, but if you love your player’s photos, you’ll find plenty of options waiting for you in the online shop. There will be options available at a range of price points, with something for every kind of soccer family.

FAQ

What should my player wear?
Players should wear their full PAYSA uniform with cleats and shin guards. A soccer ball will be provided, but players may bring their own ball if they would prefer to use it in their photo.
What if my player is nervous or shy?
That’s completely okay! We work with lots of kids and will keep the process quick, relaxed, and encouraging. Our goal is to help each player feel comfortable and confident without pressure.
Do coaches need to check in?
Yes. Coaches should check in and have their photo taken so they can be included in the team composite and receive their complimentary team photo.
Can parents take photos during photo day?
We kindly ask that parents and guardians do not take cell phone photos during the photo process. Extra cameras can be distracting for players — especially younger or shy kids — because they may not know where to look. This helps us keep each child focused, comfortable, and looking their best.
Can siblings be photographed together?
Yes! If you have more than one PAYSA player, they may come to either player’s scheduled session. Please check both players in when you arrive, and we’ll take individual photos as well as sibling photos together.
Can parent coaches take a photo with their player?
Yes! Parent coach/player photos are automatically included during photo day. Coaches should check in and have their own photo taken, and we’ll also photograph parent coaches with their players.
Do players need to stay for a team photo?
No. Because the team photo is created as a composite, players do not need to wait around for a traditional group photo. Once your player has checked in and had their photos taken, they are all set!
What if we can’t make our scheduled team time?
Please make every effort to attend during your team’s scheduled time. If your player cannot attend their scheduled time, they may come on the alternate photo day instead. There will not be a separate makeup day, so please plan to attend on either Saturday, September 19 or Sunday, September 20.
Are there makeup photos?
There will not be a separate makeup photo day. If your player cannot attend their scheduled time, they may come on the alternate photo day instead.
Can I choose my player’s photo?
Yes. Families will be able to choose from multiple images for their own packages and photo products. Cindy Russell Photography will select the image that works best for the final team composite so the finished team photo looks polished and consistent.
Can I choose which image is used in the team photo?
Families will be able to choose their favorite images for their own packages and products. Cindy Russell Photography will select the image that works best for the final team composite.
When will photos be ready?
Photos are expected to be ready approximately one week after photo day. Each family will receive their unique PhotoDay link by email and/or text when images are ready.
What happens after I pre-order?
After photo day, you’ll receive your unique PhotoDay link by email and/or text. From there, you’ll be able to view your player’s images and select your favorite photo for your pre-ordered package.
How do I order photos?
Families may pre-order photo packages before photo day or order after photos are ready. After photo day, each family will receive a unique PhotoDay link by email and/or text where they can view images and place orders.
Why can’t team photos be purchased as digital downloads?
Team photos are available as printed products only. Because one digital team photo could easily be shared with an entire team, digital downloads are not available for team images. Individual player images, packages, and other photo products will be available through PhotoDay.
