FAQs

Senior faqs

What can I expect on the day of my session?

A. Get ready for a fun, stress-free session filled with laughter and great memories! We’re all about keeping things relaxed and making sure you feel comfortable in front of the camera. When you arrive, we’ll go over your outfit choices, chat about any last-minute details, and then jump right into shooting. Each outfit usually takes about 20-30 minutes, and we’ll switch up locations as needed to get the perfect shots. Our goal? For you to walk away saying, “That was so much fun!”

Can I bring props to my session?

A. Absolutely! Props are a great way to show off your personality and interests—whether it’s sports gear, a musical instrument, or even your future college apparel for a fun, forward-looking touch. We’ll ask about any props in your pre-session questionnaire so we can plan ahead. Not sure if you want to bring any? No worries—your photos will look amazing either way!

Can we include my dog/pet in my Senior session?

A. Absolutely! Our fur babies are family too and they are more than welcome to join you. If we are on-location, I usually just have to confirm that dogs are permitted but in most cases they are. If you can, sometimes it helps to enlist a friend or family member to assist!

Should I get my hair and makeup done professionally?

A. We definitely recommend it! Professional hair and makeup can take your photos to the next level and give you an extra boost of confidence in front of the camera. A lot of our clients go for pro styling, but it’s totally up to you! Need recommendations? Just let us know—we’re happy to help.

How many outfits should I bring?

A. You get an unlimited number of outfit changes with the standard senior photo session. And while variety is awesome, we also want to make sure you spend more time in front of the camera getting great shots—not just changing clothes! Typically, 2-3 outfit changes is customary.

Where will I change outfits during the session?

A. We provide a portable changing tent for quick and easy outfit changes, no matter the location. You can also use your vehicle if you prefer.

When is the best time of day for outdoor photos?

A. The ideal time for photos is during golden hour. This occurs 1-2 hours prior to the sun setting, although can be affected by tall trees and hills. This time of day will give us the prettiest light.

What if it rains or we need to reschedule?

A. I understand that curveballs come all the time. In the event of bad weather or an unforeseen circumstance that conflicts with your scheduled photo session, I am happy to reschedule!

How long will it take to get our photos back?

A. You will get photos within 7 days from the session date. Your gallery will be delivered via email where you can download your full gallery with one click.

Can we purchase prints, canvases, albums and other products?

A. Yes, of course. I offer an easy and convenient way to order directly from your gallery. I offer high quality, affordable, quality prints, enlargements, canvases and other items. These items are printed at a professional photo lab that I highly recommend.

Regardless of where you choose to print your images, I encourage you to not only print them and enjoy them but be sure to use a professional lab. Please do not use retail locations such as Walgreens or Walmart as their machines are not consistently calibrated to produce professional quality images.

Are you able to do some light retouching if needed?

A. Yes! I will usually help erase or minimize any non-permanent marks as needed. This could include acne that snuck up, a scratch or dry skin. In most cases, it’s a simple retouch and it’s included with your session.

In the event of the need for more advanced editing, I’ll chat with you about retouching options for you to decide.
